Sign up to see compensation estimateActive Leaders of Love is seeking a highly organized and proactive Talent Acquisition & Volunteer Operations Specialist (Volunteer) to support ongoing recruitment and onboarding across all teams.
This role ensures that volunteer and team opportunities are consistently visible, well-managed, and supported through a structured recruitment pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and post volunteer and project roles across nonprofit and community platforms (e.g., Volunteer Toronto, CharityVillage, and other relevant networks)
- Support ongoing talent sourcing and outreach across digital platforms and professional networks
- Monitor and track applications, ensuring candidates are organized and directed appropriately
- Collaborate closely with People & Culture and department directors to develop and refine role descriptions and recruitment needs
- Support onboarding of new team members, including introductions to teams, systems, and organizational practices
- Coordinate access for new members (e.g., Microsoft Teams, email groups, and internal tools)
- Maintain a centralized volunteer and talent pipeline (“volunteer bench”) for ongoing and future needs
- Support periodic mass recruitment initiatives for campaigns, events, and community engagement projects
Collaboration
This role works closely with People & Culture, Communications, and Department Directors to ensure alignment between recruitment needs and organizational priorities.
Time Commitment
7–10 hours per week (volunteer role)

- Strong organizational and coordination skills
- Experience or interest in recruitment, community outreach, or volunteer management
- Ability to manage multiple roles and deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable using digital tools (Microsoft Teams, spreadsheets, email platforms)
