Active Leaders of Love is seeking a highly organized and proactive Talent Acquisition & Volunteer Operations Specialist (Volunteer) to support ongoing recruitment and onboarding across all teams.

This role ensures that volunteer and team opportunities are consistently visible, well-managed, and supported through a structured recruitment pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and post volunteer and project roles across nonprofit and community platforms (e.g., Volunteer Toronto, CharityVillage, and other relevant networks)
  • Support ongoing talent sourcing and outreach across digital platforms and professional networks
  • Monitor and track applications, ensuring candidates are organized and directed appropriately
  • Collaborate closely with People & Culture and department directors to develop and refine role descriptions and recruitment needs
  • Support onboarding of new team members, including introductions to teams, systems, and organizational practices
  • Coordinate access for new members (e.g., Microsoft Teams, email groups, and internal tools)
  • Maintain a centralized volunteer and talent pipeline (“volunteer bench”) for ongoing and future needs
  • Support periodic mass recruitment initiatives for campaigns, events, and community engagement projects

Collaboration

This role works closely with People & Culture, Communications, and Department Directors to ensure alignment between recruitment needs and organizational priorities.

Time Commitment

7–10 hours per week (volunteer role)

Skills & Strengths

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills
  • Experience or interest in recruitment, community outreach, or volunteer management
  • Ability to manage multiple roles and deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable using digital tools (Microsoft Teams, spreadsheets, email platforms)
