Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Azure)
to design, build, and manage the cloud environment that powers everything we create.
Because systems don’t scale by accident.
They scale through
intentional infrastructure

The Role
This role is responsible for
designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure
.
You will ensure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable—supporting applications, platforms, and internal operations.
You are not just maintaining cloud systems.
You are
building the foundation everything runs on
.

infrastructure, platform engineering, and system performance

What You’ll Own
Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment
- Design and deploy Azure-based infrastructure
- Configure
- Virtual machines
- Networking
- Storage solutions
- Build scalable and reliable environments
System Performance & Reliability
- Monitor system performance and uptime
- Identify and resolve performance issues
- Ensure high availability and system stability
Scalability & Capacity Planning
- Design infrastructure to support growth
- Plan for increased usage and system demand
- Optimize resource allocation
Security & Configuration Management
- Implement secure configurations
- Manage access and permissions
- Support alignment with security best practices
Automation & Infrastructure as Code
- Implement automation for
- Deployments
- Configuration management
- Use Infrastructure as Code (IaC) where applicable
Platform & Application Support
- Support applications running in the cloud
- Work with engineering teams to optimize performance
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with application needs
Monitoring & Incident Response
- Set up monitoring and alerting systems
- Respond to infrastructure-related issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with
- Engineering teams

Documentation & System Management
- Maintain documentation for

Cost Optimization
- Monitor cloud usage and costs

Continuous Improvement
- Improve infrastructure performance and reliability

- Strengthen overall cloud environment

Qualifications
Required
- 3–5 years of experience in
- Cloud infrastructure
- Systems engineering
- Platform engineering
- Experience with
- Microsoft Azure
- Strong understanding of
- Cloud architecture
- Networking and system performance
Preferred
- Experience with
- Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates)
- Monitoring and logging tools
- Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations
- Experience in remote teams
Commitment
- 10–15 hours per week
- Flexible schedule (with responsiveness to system needs)
- Participation in engineering and infrastructure discussions required
- Fully remote
