Senior Backend Software Engineer

Our startup client is developing off-grid communications technology (software + solar-powered hardware) for Adventurers, Firefighters, DoD, Rescue Operations, and more. They’re currently in need of a Senior Backend Software Engineer to help develop new software features for their customer applications and custom hardware (including satellite tech, Bluetooth, mesh networking, sensors, and so much more). This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Engineer to work in a greenfield environment, impact direction, and join a team of highly talented and collaborative Developers.

(Currently hiring Engineers based in San Francisco, CA and Chicago, IL)

An ideal candidate will have the following:

• 8+ years experience building and maintaining software services
• Expert coding skills in Java/Kotlin/Spring
• Demonstrated success working in a startup environment
• Experience developing integrations with partner systems
• BS degree in CS, Mathematics, or other STEM discipline
• Strong communication skills
• Collaborative mindset
