Role summary

We are seeking a Founding Engineer to join our intense, tightly-knit team in San Francisco. You will engage directly with customers, working across our full stack (TypeScript, Supabase, Vite, Next.js, Vercel, Effect) to build secure, reliable, and performant solutions. Key areas of focus include concurrent systems, modular infrastructure, text processing, RAG, database optimization, LLM engineering, logging, CI/CD, and frontend development. We value pragmatism, responsiveness to feedback, and a commitment to building high-quality, future-proof solutions.

We are an intense, tightly-knit team based in Lower Haight, San Francisco. Our customers range from fast-growing startups to established enterprise companies, and we obsess in listening to each of them and helping them succeed. Our development pillars are security, reliability and performance, combined with pragmatism to always find working solutions and be ultra-responsive to customer feedback and requests. Working both at the infrastructure and product level, we strive to build correct, future-proof solutions with great taste.

As a founding engineer, you will be directly engaging with our customers and will be working with all of our stack, which is currently: TypeScript, Supabase, Vite, Next.js, Vercel, and Effect. Topics will include: concurrent systems, modular service infrastructure, text processing, RAG, database optimization, LLM engineering, logging and telemetry, CI/CD, integrations with third-party systems, frontend. We expect you to be very experienced with most of these.
