Intermediate web developer / designer

The web designer/developer will be responsible for working side by side the design & marketing team in bringing new & exciting websites to fruition, that have outstanding design, excellent function & meet all client expectations throughout the process with seamless integration of new social, mobile & digital elements. Full stack skills an asset.

Primary Responsibilities

• Designing & coding websites most commonly using Wordpress and occasionally squarespace, wix.com and other CMS’
• custom coding for css and JavaScript as needed
• design mock ups of entire sites
• writing website copy as needed
• SEO optimization and implementation of recommendations
• keeping our team up to date on new & exciting trends in the world of web & seo
• reworking older websites to have a new & exciting look, feel and function as needed
• building SEO strategizes into new and existing websites
• graphic design as needed to support the team’s workflow
• google analytics reporting
• maintaining company websites
• Set up and maintenance of hosting and email plans
• Building, maintaining & updating of ecommerce
• updating content on client websites as needed to support the team’s workflow

Required Skills

• HTML5 / CSS3
• wordpress elementor, wp bakery and other CMS systems
• Javascript & jQuery
• PHP is an asset
• MySQL
• Responsive design optimization
• HTML Email Experience
• Wordpress template breaking and building experience
• Bootstrap Experience
• Adobe Creative Suite
• Eccommerce
• Strong organizational skills
• Follows direction well
• Flexible mindset to accommodate shifts in workflow at the drop of a hat between projects as needed.
• Able to access, analyze suggest improvements to website structure & function
• google analytics expert
• minimum 4 years experience
• diploma in web design & development or equivalent experience.
