
Assistant Test Engineer(Intern)
Role summary
ABB is seeking an Assistant Test Engineer (Intern) to support the testing of DCS products. The role involves developing test environments, setting up test platforms, designing and executing test cases, documenting results, and generating reports. Responsibilities include using testing tools like oscilloscopes and multimeters to analyze hardware signals, identifying issues, and collaborating with developers for problem analysis. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in automation, electrical engineering, or a related field, familiarity with Azure DevOps, and experience with hardware projects. Prior experience in embedded systems testing is preferred. Strong English skills and a team-oriented mindset with high quality awareness are essential.

Your Role: Own the Challenge/Take on the Journey
- Responsible for DCS products testing.
- Develop test environment and set up the test platform for products. Design and review test cases/test descriptions from users’ perspective; execute test cases accordingly, document all test results and generate test reports within project time frame.
- Use testing tools (such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, etc.) to collect and analyze hardware signals.
- Identify and report the problems and coordinate with developer to analyze the problems.
What it takes to Run what runs the world
- Bachelor’s degree or above in automation, electrical engineering or similar. Good test automation tools usage/development skill
- Familiar with Azure DevOps and related toolchain
- Have experience in hardware-related course projects, graduation projects, or competitions (such as electronic design competitions).
- Prior experience in embedded system development or testing is preferred.
- Good English skills, especially in writing and reading
- Must be a team player, high quality awareness.
