Primary Purpose of Position
Reporting to the CFO, The Corporate Controller is responsible for driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and cost optimization across the holding company and its subsidiaries. Working as a strategic partner to business leaders and subsidiary management teams, this role leads group-wide performance management processes, guides operational finance, ensures financial transparency, and drives data-informed decision-making.
This position is part of the FP&A function and plays a critical role in improving profitability, strengthening cost discipline, and enhancing operational insights across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
- Operational Financial Leadership
· Prepare and analyze operational KPIs, cost structures, and productivity metrics to identify performance gaps and opportunities.
· Develop and implement standardized reporting tools, dashboards, and performance scorecards.
· Drive accountability for operational performance through rigorous financial reviews.
- Performance Management & Cost Optimization
· Lead group-wide cost reduction and efficiency programs, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
· Identify key cost drivers and lead initiatives to optimize working capital efficiency, spending across procurement, supply chain, production, and overhead functions.
· Collaborate with subsidiary controllers to improve margin performance, inventory management, and working capital efficiency.
· Benchmark performance across subsidiaries to drive best practices and continuous improvement.
- FP&A and Business Partnering
· Drive annual budgeting, strategic planning, and rolling forecasting processes.
· Provide actionable insights to executive leadership through variance analysis, scenario modeling, and business case development.
· Support strategic initiatives such as new product evaluations, pricing strategies, capital investment decisions, and operational transformations.
· Establish financial planning standards and ensure consistency across subsidiaries.
- Group Governance & Financial Operations
· Work with subsidiary finance leaders to ensure accurate operational reporting, consistent cost accounting methodologies, and effective internal controls.
· Review monthly management reports, providing challenge, analysis, and recommendations to improve results.
· Ensure alignment between Group FP&A, accounting, and operating units to support timely and accurate reporting.
- Leadership & Cross-Functional Influence
· Lead a network of operational finance managers and subsidiary controllers, providing coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities.
· Build strong partnerships with supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, commercial, and HR leaders.
· Champion a data-driven, performance-oriented culture across the corporate group.
Required Qualifications
a) Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, CPA designation is a must.
b) 10 – 15 + years’ experience in a similar controller capacity, experience in FP&A, operational finance, or cost management roles.
c) with at least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, an automotive business is preferable.
d) Proven experience in a holding company, multi-entity, or multi-location environment.
e) Strong background in operations finance, cost accounting, performance management, or business partnering.
f) Experience leading cross-functional improvement initiatives.
g) Strong written and verbal communication skills
h) Strong ownership, can do attitude
i) Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity and compatibility.
j) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other tools.
k) Able to travel to Canada, USA, Europe and Mexico.
l) Required to have a G level driver’s License.
m) mandarin speaking an asset
