Product Designer (Stainless Steel Equipment)
Role summary
Seeking a hands-on Product Designer specializing in stainless steel equipment to create production-ready drawings for items like worktables and cabinets. This role requires proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks, a strong understanding of sheet metal design, and familiarity with fabrication constraints. You will collaborate closely with the production team, incorporating their feedback into designs. Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and NSF standards is a plus. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, practical, and ready to contribute immediately in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
About the Role:
We are looking for a hands-on product designer who can design and release production-ready drawings for stainless steel equipment with minimal supervision. This is not a conceptual role — you will be working directly with our production team and real projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Design stainless steel products (worktables, cabinets, custom equipment)
- Create accurate 3D models and shop drawings for manufacturing
- Work closely with fabrication team (cutting, bending, welding, polishing)
- Adjust designs based on real production feedback
- Handle custom projects based on client specs
Required Skills:
- Proficient in Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of sheet metal design
- Ability to create production-ready drawings
- Familiar with tolerances, dimensions, and fabrication constraints
- Good communication with shop/production team
Preferred (Strong Plus):
- Experience in stainless steel / commercial kitchen equipment
- Familiar with NSF standards
- Prior experience working with a factory or workshop
