Exp – 8+

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled
Azure Platform Engineer
to join our team in Toronto on a long-term contract. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
This role requires deep expertise in Azure platform engineering, networking, DevOps practices, and scripting with Python and Node.js to support scalable, secure, and automated cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
  • Build and manage scalable, secure, and highly available Azure platform environments.
  • Implement infrastructure automation and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
  • Manage and optimize Azure networking components including VNets, subnets, NSGs, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Collaborate with development teams to enable efficient cloud-native application deployment.
  • Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python and Node.js.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize cloud resources.
  • Implement security best practices, governance, and compliance standards across the Azure platform.
  • Maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Strong hands-on experience with
Microsoft Azure platform engineering

- Expertise in
Azure networking
(VNets, VPNs, ExpressRoute, NSGs, Load Balancers).
- Experience with
Azure DevOps
, CI/CD pipeline creation, and release automation.
- Proficiency in
Python
and
Node.js
for scripting and automation.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform).
- Solid understanding of cloud security, identity management, and governance in Azure.
- Experience monitoring and troubleshooting distributed cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment.
