Role summary

We are seeking a Founding Engineer for an early-stage, compliance-first rental management platform targeting the Canadian market. This greenfield opportunity requires owning architecture, technology decisions, and execution from the outset. The role involves designing and implementing cloud-native architecture on AWS/GCP/Azure, building a multi-tenant SaaS platform with compliance-ready data models, and establishing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code. Integration with key systems (KYC/AML, credit bureaus, payments, e-signature) and adherence to PIPEDA, PCI, and SOC 2 standards are critical. The position offers a high-impact, fast-paced environment working directly with founders, with the chance to scale the platform significantly and leverage AI tools for development.

with no legacy systems. You’ll own architecture, tech decisions, and execution from day one.

What You’ll Do

- Design and own end-to-end
cloud-native architecture
(AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Build a
multi-tenant SaaS platform
with compliance-ready data models
- Set up
CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment strategies
- Integrate with key systems (KYC/AML, credit bureaus, payments, e-signature)
- Ensure compliance with
PIPEDA, PCI, SOC 2
standards
- Scale platform from
0 to 100K+ users
- Leverage
AI-powered development tools
to accelerate delivery

What We’re Looking For

- Proven experience building and shipping
production SaaS products
- Strong expertise in
cloud architecture & system design
- Experience with
regulated environments
(fintech, proptech, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with
multi-tenant systems
- Comfortable making
independent technical decisions
- Experience as an early or founding engineer is a strong plus
