Product Designer

Akustus is seeking a highly creative and innovative Product Designer who can turn ideas into real, functional products. In this role, you’ll design acoustic solutions, develop new concepts, create tradeshow exhibits, and bring fresh, artistic vision to everything we do.

We are looking for someone who is innovative, forward thinking, and design driven—capable of creating unique product concepts while contributing to visual storytelling and brand representation. The ideal candidate is passionate about design, excels at working independently, and consistently delivers bold ideas that push creative boundaries.

This is a multidisciplinary design role where creativity spans product design, brand presentation, and marketing visuals. You will play a key role in shaping the future of Akustus’ product line and visual identity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Product Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related design field
• Minimum 2 years of experience in product design or related field
• Strong portfolio demonstrating product design, concept development, and creative problem solving
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new product designs from initial concept and research through prototyping, production, and final launch
• Generate innovative concepts for trade show exhibits
• Create sketches, 3D models, and renderings to communicate design concepts
• Collaborate with the team to ensure designs are functional, manufacturable, and on-brand
• Plan and create visual content for social media platforms, marketing campaigns and website materials
• Support marketing initiatives by providing visual assets and creative direction
• Stay up-to-date with design trends, interior design movement and innovations in acoustic products

Qualifications & Skills

• Expert proficiency in Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and excel
• Experience with 3D rendering software, visual presentations, and image editing tools
• Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and functional product design
• Experience supporting trade show preparation, events, or marketing project coordination
• Strong visual design skills including layout, color theory, and typography
• Excellent presentation, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work both independently and collaboratively
• Self-motivated, proactive, reliable, and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Ability to develop innovative product concepts from idea through production

Nice to have:

• Experience/background knowledge of acoustic products
• Experience creating marketing visuals and social media content
• Background in interior design or spatial design
• Experience designing trade show exhibits
• Photography, rendering, or visual storytelling experience
