Role summary

Advanced Space is seeking an Information Security Analyst to join their team in Westminster, Colorado. This role is primarily on-premises and focuses on protecting critical aerospace infrastructure. The analyst will monitor and respond to security threats, manage vulnerabilities, and contribute to the overall security posture. Key responsibilities include triaging alerts across security platforms, tuning security tools, supporting vulnerability management, and collaborating with infrastructure teams to ensure environments are secured according to best practices. The position requires experience with Microsoft security tools, system administration, and a willingness to obtain a Top Secret//SCI clearance.

Based in Westminster, Colorado, this incredible team is looking for an Information Security Analyst who's eager to help protect and secure critical infrastructure in the aerospace industry.

Information Security Analysts at Advanced Space work closely with teams across other disciplines (i.e., infrastructure, engineering, operations). This position is responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats, managing vulnerabilities, and contributing to the security posture of both project and organizational infrastructure. This position will be headquartered at our Westminster, Colorado offices and is primarily an on-premises position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor and triage alerts across security platforms including CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Sentinel.
  • Tune and configure security tooling to enhance detection accuracy, improve response times, and reduce false positives.
  • Support the vulnerability management program through continuous monitoring, identification, and tracking of vulnerabilities.
  • Assess and prioritize security, vulnerability, and configuration findings, coordinating with infrastructure teams to drive remediation.
  • Contribute to the design, deployment, and improvement of security engineering initiatives.
  • Partner with infrastructure teams to ensure project and organizational environments are secured in alignment with best practices.

Required Skills and Eligibility

  • Experience with Identity and Access Management using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
  • Works cooperatively with others across the organization to achieve shared objective
  • Proficiency in endpoint configuration and management tools such as Microsoft Intune.
  • Working knowledge of SIEM and EDR platforms such as CrowdStrike Falcon and Microsoft Defender.
  • Provides timely and helpful information to others across the organization.
  • Familiarity with exposure and vulnerability management tools such as Tenable and CrowdStrike.
  • Solid foundation in Windows and Linux system administration.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Scripting and automation using Python, Bash, and/or PowerShell.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with software development workflows, including Git and CI/CD pipelines.
  • CompTIA Security+
  • CompTIA CySA+
  • CISSP

Education & Experience

  • 2-5 years of hands-on experience in information systems administration, with a strong emphasis on the Microsoft ecosystem, including Microsoft Azure.
  • 1–2 years of experience in an information security role or equivalent responsibility.

  • Base Salary Range – $87,563 - $113,073 based on role, employee experience, and location
