Fitness and Wellness Program Manager
Role summary
AdvantageHealth Corporation is seeking a full-time Fitness & Wellness Program Manager for a corporate client in Shoreview/Fridley, MN. This role involves managing an employee Fitness & Wellness Center, implementing activity-based initiatives, and supporting members in reaching their potential. Key responsibilities include administering wellness campaigns, providing personal training and group fitness classes, developing educational materials, and leading client meetings. A Bachelor's degree in a health-related field and at least one year of experience in corporate fitness/wellness program development, evaluation, staff supervision, and budget management are required. The role also requires strong knowledge of exercise physiology and certification in CPR/AED.
AdvantageHealth Corporation, a leader in worksite health promotion, is currently seeking to fill an opening for a full-time Fitness & Wellness Program Manager for one of its corporate clients located in Shoreview/ Fridley, MN. This individual will be responsible for the overall management of the employee Fitness & Wellness Center with the primary responsibility of implementing and administering activity-based initiatives. This individual will also partner with our corporate clients to support all functions and activities of an on-site fitness & wellness center designed to help members reach their full potential.
Job duties include:
- Administering well-being incentive campaigns/challenges, including creating daily and weekly motivational emails, monitoring participation, tracking results, collecting data, and program evaluation.
- Providing individual and group in-person or virtual personal training.
- Leading motivating virtual and in-person group fitness classes.
- Providing lunch n' learn topics on healthy eating, physical activity, stress management, weight management, mindfulness & more.
- Developing educational materials on various health and wellness topics including weight management, stress management, healthy eating, physical activity, and family health.
- Partnering with community well-being initiatives and events.
- Leading monthly client meetings to discuss fitness & wellness center operations, budgeting and programming.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in exercise science, corporate wellness, public health, kinesiology, or other health-related fields.
- This individual will have one or more years of experience leading a comprehensive fitness/wellness effort in a corporate or community setting, emphasizing program development and evaluation, staff supervision, budgets, lifestyle intervention techniques, and membership recruitment/retention.
- The ability to consult with employees at all levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, exercise testing and prescription, health promotion programming.
- Experience providing one-on-one and group personal training, including program design and customization for a varied clientele.
- Experience leading group exercise classes.
- Current certification in CPR/AED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Professional certification(s) by nationally recognized health/fitness organizations.
