Role summary

AdventHealth is seeking a full-time Nurse Training Program Manager to lead the development, execution, and management of nurse resident and experienced nurse training programs. This hybrid role, based in Orlando, FL, involves implementing measures to ensure adherence to ethical and professional standards, planning and developing clinical support role training, and partnering with system functions for clinical education needs. The manager will oversee team activities including coaching, development, hiring, and performance management, as well as manage training program budgets. Key responsibilities include supporting process improvement, talent acquisition for training programs, and coordinating orientation and simulation development. A Bachelor's of Nursing and 1+ year of RN experience are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and EPIC, and knowledge of regulatory agency requirements.

Job Description
Shift: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm
Address: 2415 N Orange Avenue Orlando, FL. Will be hybrid after orientation.
Leads a team focused on developing, executing, and managing nurse resident and experienced nurse training programs. Implements measures to ensure clinical training program activities adhere to ethical and professional standards. Plans, develops, and implements clinical support role training programs. Partners with other system functions to develop and implement clinical education needs. Shares accountability with other clinical program managers for integrated solutions across the division. Manages day-to-day work activities, coaching, development, hiring, and performance of team members. Provides budget analysis and management support for training program items and department needs. Supports continual process improvement of clinical training programs. Oversees talent acquisition processes related to training programs. Coordinates orientation, simulation development, and logistics for training programs. Supports campus educator needs and ensures alignment with training objectives. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong problem-solving skills [Required]

  • Knowledge of regulatory agency requirements related to clinical programming and student placement: CMS, AHCA, DNV, JCAHO, and/or TJC [Required]
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and excellent follow-through [Required]
  • Strong interpersonal skills: listening, confronting, challenging, straightforwardness, rapport, trust, warmth, compassion, and humor [Preferred]
  • Knowledge of ambulatory office-based healthcare setting and specialty practice office-based healthcare [Preferred]

Education

  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
  • Master's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience

  • 1+ of experience as a registered nurse in any health care setting [Required]
  • Experience in critical care setting [Preferred]
  • Experience in project management [Preferred]
  • Experience presenting data in meetings to providers [Preferred]
  • Experience with surveys and any kind of registry/data abstraction [Preferred]

Licenses And Certifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
