Senior Engineering Manager, Control Plane
Role summary
Aerospike is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Aerospike Cloud Platform team. This hybrid role, based in the Bay Area, involves hands-on leadership, guiding frontend and backend engineers while staying involved in architecture, product decisions, and execution. Responsibilities include driving the technical roadmap, partnering with product and design, owning control plane architecture, ensuring strong engineering practices, and supporting production systems. The ideal candidate has 5-10+ years of application development experience and 1-3+ years of engineering leadership, with strong microservices, cloud platform, and API design skills. Experience with Kubernetes, Go, React, and production support is essential.

We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team building the Aerospike Cloud Platform — our multi-cloud, multi-tenant offering that brings the power of Aerospike to developers everywhere.
To foster strong team alignment and productivity, Bay Area–based team members are expected to work from the office 3 times per week—typically Tuesday through Thursday.
