Role summary

AgentMail is seeking a Senior Engineer with a backend and infrastructure focus to build the identity and communication infrastructure for AI agents, starting with email. The role involves designing intuitive APIs for humans and LLMs, architecting high-throughput, low-latency systems, writing clean code, and maintaining documentation. This position also includes leading and managing a team of 4-6 engineers. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering at a tech company and has architected production software used by millions.

AgentMail is building the identity and communication infrastructure for AI agents, starting with email. We are looking for a Senior Engineer with backend and infra focus to architect systems for agents as the end users.

Responsibilities:

* Design APIs that are intuitive for both humans and LLMs
* Architect high-throughput, low-latency systems
* Write and review clean, idiomatic code
* Maintain comprehensive documentation
* Lead and manage a team of 4-6 engineers

Qualifications:

* Has 3+ years of work experience as an engineer working on infrastructure at a tech company
* Has architected software used in production by millions of users

Compensation:

* $250k - $400k base salary
* 1.0% - 2.0% equity
