About Agile Infrastructure:

Agile Infrastructure is a new consulting firm being built from the ground-up to help solve our housing and infrastructure challenges. Our goal is to develop a modern and efficient culture that delivers lasting value to our clients.

We believe in a culture of mentorship and ownership. To that end, we believe in making long-term investments in our team with technical training and beyond, which includes direct one-on-one guidance, mentorship, profit sharing, and short-term pathways to company ownership. As a small firm, we strive to provide team members at all levels, including new grads and juniors, with exposure to the business development and project management side of consulting engineering.

What We Do:

We specialize in the planning and management of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems. We work with municipalities across southern Ontario to make infrastructure recommendations that benefit the local communities where we live and work. Our focus is primarily large-scale infrastructure planning projects, which provide municipalities with a long-term outlook for what infrastructure is needed, how to finance it, and how to keep it maintained. These projects include Master Plans, Class Environmental Assessments, Asset Management Plans, Financial Plans, Servicing Studies, and more.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a new graduate to join us as a Junior Infrastructure Engineer. In this role, you will work on a variety of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects, applying your engineering knowledge and technical expertise to create effective solutions for infrastructure owners. This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow within a supportive and collaborative environment, while contributing to the development of vital infrastructure systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Infrastructure Planning & Design
: Assist with the planning, design, and technical analysis of water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure projects.
- Hydraulic Modeling
: Use modeling software (e.g., InfoWater, PCSWMM, WaterGEMS, InfoWorks) to analyze system performance and propose improvements.
- Project Coordination
: Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders (municipalities, contractors, regulators) to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
- Site Assessments & Data Collection
: Perform site assessments, collect field data, and oversee inspections to support project planning and design.
- Technical Documentation & Reporting
: Prepare detailed technical reports, project proposals, and presentation materials for clients and stakeholders.
- Project Management Support
: Assist in managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

- Education
: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Experience
: Co-op experience in consulting is preferred.

Why Work with Us?

- Career Growth
: Our team represents the industry’s top talent in our niche. New graduates have an unlimited opportunity to learn and grow their skills and demonstrate that they could be a future leader of the firm.
- In-Person Office Environment
: We believe in the long-term value of building our team in an enjoyable in-person office environment. Our office is located in a renovated historic factory on the banks of the Speed River. Staff are in the office together several days per week which brings opportunity for new grads to learn and develop their skills faster.
- Collaborative Environment
: You will work with a supportive team of experts who all share a passion of seeing new graduates excel into the future.
- Meaningful Projects
: Work on projects that make a real difference in the communities we serve, helping to sustain existing infrastructure, build new homes, and protect the environment.
- Competitive Compensation
: We offer a competitive salary, benefits package, and profit sharing. Strong performance in this role can lead to share ownership.
