About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Product Development Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and improving optical and photonic products that meet the evolving needs of our customers. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and sales to ensure the successful launch of innovative products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in optics and photonics, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a related field. Prior experience in product development within the optical or photonics industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of optical design software such as Zemax or CODE V, as well as proficiency in CAD tools, is required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. Experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment and familiarity with manufacturing processes are advantageous. A proactive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a passion for innovation are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
Design and develop new optical and photonic products in alignment with company goals and customer requirements. Conduct optical simulations and analyses to optimize product performance. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are feasible for production and meet quality standards. Participate in prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting activities to validate product designs. Maintain detailed documentation of design processes, test results, and technical specifications. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to incorporate innovative solutions into product development. Provide technical support to sales and customer service teams by offering expertise on product capabilities and applications. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
