About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Product/UX Designer to join our team and lead the design efforts for Hubble's core product surfaces. This pivotal role involves owning the user experience across multiple touchpoints including dashboards, developer documentation, and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will operate at the intersection of product and engineering, possessing a deep understanding of how developers and enterprise operators interact with our platform. You will be responsible for crafting intuitive, cohesive, and scalable designs that enhance user engagement and operational efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on state-of-the-art satellite systems and contribute to a pioneering Bluetooth network dedicated to machine-to-machine connectivity. While preference is for the role to be based in Seattle, remote candidates on the West Coast will also be considered.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of product design experience, demonstrating a strong portfolio that showcases expertise in UX and visual craft. Experience designing for developer audiences across multiple platforms—including documentation, APIs, dashboards, and mobile—is essential. Familiarity with IoT, connectivity, infrastructure, or enterprise SaaS is highly desirable. Candidates should possess fluency in modern design tools and AI-assisted workflows to facilitate rapid iteration and exploration. A solid foundation in information architecture, visual hierarchy, interaction design, and accessibility is required. Experience in building and maintaining scalable design systems with comprehensive documentation is preferred. Excellent communication skills, self-direction, and the ability to prioritize effectively are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
The Product/UX Designer will be responsible for shaping the user experience across Hubble’s platform. Key responsibilities include designing and evolving the dashboard—the primary interface for device onboarding, fleet management, and operational monitoring—ensuring a seamless experience for developers and enterprise users. The role involves breaking down complex end-state visions into manageable, shippable increments to facilitate fast learning and iteration. You will also design the developer documentation experience, collaborating with engineering and technical writers to create clear, navigable, and valuable content at every stage of integration.
Additional responsibilities include designing the mobile application, understanding the unique needs of users in mobile contexts, and ensuring consistency across all touchpoints. You will develop and maintain a comprehensive design language system, including documented components and usage guidelines that support engineering velocity and product scalability. Delivering complete design artifacts such as user flows, state coverage, and detailed handoffs to engineering teams is essential. Leveraging AI tools to accelerate design exploration, prototyping, and research synthesis is encouraged. You will participate in product requirement reviews, RFC cycles, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the user experience aligns with business and technical objectives. Engaging directly with developers and enterprise operators to gather insights and inform design decisions is a core part of this role.
