Field Application Senior Software Engineer/Staff Software Engineer

Responsibilities

Locate in San Jose, California, US. (Legal work and tax-reporting status in US)

• Serve as a technical bridge between customers and the Airoha engineering team. Design, modify, and test customized features for embedded system devices equipped with Airoha Bluetooth SoC chips (e.g., Bluetooth headsets, Bluetooth tags) based on customer requirements.
• Provide technical support and consultation to customers, respond to feedback, reproduce and resolve customer-reported issues, deliver technical training, and prepare technical documents and application examples.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, sales, CPM teams to drive project execution.
• Support customers throughout product development, testing, and mass production stages—remotely or on-site (customer site/factory). Collect relevant data, perform preliminary analysis and classification, and work with internal teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C and C++ programming languages.
• Familiar with ARM or DSP embedded systems and RTOS programming (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr).
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with international customers.
• Strong communication skills in Mandarin, capable of accurately conveying customer requirements to Airoha engineering teams in Taiwan/China.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth wireless protocols is a plus.
• Experience in Bluetooth SoC audio DSP programming is a plus.
• Experience providing technical support to international brand customers is a plus.

The salary range for this position: $144,000- $210,000

Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, and retention programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
