Role summary
Akkodis is seeking two HIL System Test Engineer Project Leads (Mid and Senior level) for full-time, onsite roles in the Detroit Metropolitan area. The positions require a minimum of five years of automotive testing experience, including at least two years in a test lead or project management capacity within a HIL environment. Responsibilities include defining test strategies, leading test teams, managing test execution and documentation, and ensuring synchronization with program schedules. Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's degree, expertise in system and software testing, and familiarity with tools like DSPACE, Vector, JIRA, and scripting languages such as Python or CAPL. Due to continued expansion and growth, Akkodis is seeking two
(Senior and Mid-level) HIL System Test Engineer Project Lead's
for full-time roles on our dedicated team over the next several years in the Detroit Metropolitan area. All interested candidates shall possess a total of five (5) plus years of automotive testing to include at least 2 years of test lead/project management experience with some exposure within a HIL environment.
Starting Pay Range: $105,000 to $125,000/yr (salary commensurate based on experience and education levels).

Senior and Mid-level HIL System Test Project Lead
job responsibilities include:
- Understand and debugs the issues found on the Hil and vehicle and support SW development team for further analysis with Lead experience.
- Description performs all Product Validation and Verification activities for all SYS test / SW test levels as described above.
- Defines the test goal and strategy according to risks, budget, and time.
- Tailors and specifies the test coverage and sequence.
- Estimates and requests resources for testing.
- Analyses the training request.
- Defines and acquires the test environment for the different test levels.
- Leads the test team, establishes a periodic meeting within the test team (with standard agenda).
- Participates in all test reviews.
- Is responsible for the execution and documentation of all tests (including tests performed by
- subcontractors).
- Tracks the test schedule, effort and costs.
- Distributes the System/software test status and information to the team management and program management.
- Escalates to the line management in regular management meetings in case of test delays cannot be solved by the program Manager or test team.
- Defines countermeasures if deviations from the System/Software Master Test Plan occur.
- Synchronizes the SYS test / SW test schedule with the overall program schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors or Masters degree is required.
- Five (5) plus years of automotive testing to include at least 2 years of test project lead/project management experience with some exposure within a HIL environment.
- Domains – ADAS/BCM/Powertrain.
- Tools – DSPACE, Vector tools, Lauterbach, ECU Test tool, JIRA usage.
- Scripting – Python and/or CAPL.
- Expertise in System Testing and Software Testing. Knowledge on unit/module testing and software integration testing.
- Exposure on Agile practices.
