Role summary

Our client, an innovator in cloud-native technologies for healthcare imaging workflows, is seeking an Intermediate DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. This net new role will focus on designing, deploying, automating, and maintaining highly scalable AWS infrastructure. Responsibilities include Infrastructure-as-Code with Terraform, network configuration, security tool management, monitoring, and contributing to network redesign initiatives. The ideal candidate has 3-4+ years of experience with AWS, Linux, scripting, CI/CD, and cloud networking, and holds a 4-year degree. Experience with databases and secure handling of PHI is also relevant.

About This Opportunity:

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an
Intermediate DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
to support the design, deployment, automation, and maintenance of highly scalable AWS‑based infrastructure. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Infrastructure‑as‑Code, secure cloud environments, and Linux-heavy engineering.

What You’ll Do:

- Build, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure following Well‑Architected Framework principles.
- Deploy AWS network configurations such as Transit Gateway attachments, routing, VPCs, firewall rules, and landing zone components using
Terraform
and IaC best practices.
- Configure, maintain, and monitor tools including Prisma Cloud, Tenable, WAF, and CrowdStrike.
- Monitor network logs, build alerts, and maintain secure logging pipelines.
- Contribute to a major network redesign initiative, including East–West traffic architecture and Inspection VPC development.
- Collaborate with engineering, platform, QA, and product teams to support secure application deployments.
- Partner with data center and networking teams across hybrid environments (on‑prem + cloud).
- Work with third‑party vendors to integrate their applications into the cloud environment.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies (grooming, estimation, standups).
- Support cloud security assessments and implement guardrails aligned with internal security policies.
- Drive operational excellence by automating infrastructure, deployments, and maintenance tasks.

What You Bring:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline (4‑year degree required).
- 3–4+ years of DevOps, Cloud, or Infrastructure Engineering experience.
- Strong experience with
AWS
(Config, IAM, Networking, LZA, Transit Gateways, firewall management, routing, SGs, VPCs, subnets, load balancers, IPAM).
- Extensive Linux expertise (RHEL preferred).
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation and operational tasks.
- Solid understanding of cloud networking fundamentals.
- Experience with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle.
- Hands‑on experience with Terraform (strongly preferred) and CloudFormation.
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD environments.
- Familiarity with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and Git.
- Experience working in agile engineering teams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience handling PHI securely is an asset.
