Position: DevOps Automation Engineer

Duration: 1-year contract

Location: North York, ON (Hybrid)

Engagement Model: Professional Services Engagement – B2B (Incorporated Entities Only)

About the Engagement

We are seeking an experienced
DevOps Automation Engineer
to design, develop, and implement automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual operational workload, and enhance service reliability across enterprise platforms. This role will support key initiatives focused on automating processes such as metrics extraction, compliance reporting, access audits, and service orchestration. The consultant will work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver high‑quality automation that enables the team to meet increasing operational demands.

Services to be Provided

Automation Development

  • Design and develop automated solutions for continuous metrics extraction and reporting
  • Develop scripts for access auditing, compliance monitoring, and operational reporting
  • Build automated workflows for service startup, shutdown, and restart processes to support patching cycles

Infrastructure Management

  • Automate SSL certificate rotation and password rotation procedures
  • Create or enhance self‑service automation capabilities to reduce manual operational overhead

Integration & Orchestration

  • Configure and manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
  • Develop REST and SOAP API integrations with Informatica and IBM platforms
  • Utilize CDD or similar orchestration tools to build complex, multi-step workflows

Documentation & Collaboration

  • Prepare documentation for automation processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps
  • Collaborate with platform administrators and security teams
  • Develop runbooks and operational guidance for supported automation

Expertise Required

Experience & Platform Knowledge

  • 5+ years of DevOps engineering or platform automation experience

Programming & Scripting

- Advanced proficiency in
Python
- Working knowledge of
PowerShell
- Strong skills in
shell scripting
for both Linux and Windows systems

DevOps Tools & CI/CD

- Hands-on experience with
Jenkins
or similar CI/CD tools
- Experience with
CDD
or comparable orchestration platforms
- Familiarity with
Git
version control

Integration & APIs

- Demonstrated experience integrating with
REST/SOAP APIs
- Experience with
RESTful API development and integration

Infrastructure & Security

- Background in
Windows and Linux system administration
- Knowledge of service orchestration and monitoring
- Experience in
security automation
and compliance-focused automation

Nice to Have

  • Experience with:
  • Informatica IDMC, CDIPC, or MDM
  • IBM InfoSphere DataStage
  • Experience working in financial services or large enterprise environments
