Akkodis is seeking a
Device Automation Test Engineer
for a
Contract
with a client in
Cupertino, CA.
The ideal candidate responsibilities include validating complex system workflows and performing detailed log analysis to independently triage and resolve issues.
Rate Range:
$53/hour to $56/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Device Automation Test Engineer Job Responsibilities Include

• Execute end‑to‑end testing across devices, backend services, data pipelines, and browser‑based UI to validate system functionality.
• Develop, maintain, and run automated and manual test scenarios using Python, Java, and device automation frameworks such as XCUI.
• Investigate failures by analyzing logs, telemetry, and distributed system behavior to perform root‑cause triage across the full stack.
• Validate unreleased device features and server‑side platform changes to ensure stability and proper system integration.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams by providing detailed defect reports with reproducible steps and diagnostic data.
• Support the validation of cross‑system workflows and independently identify probable failure points before escalating issues.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8–10 years of experience in automation testing, device automation, and distributed system validation.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python, Java, and device automation frameworks such as XCUI, with proven ability to analyze logs and debug issues across distributed systems.
• Demonstrated capability in validating end‑to‑end workflows involving devices, backend services, and data pipelines, including familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), SQL, and technologies like Kafka and Spark.

Pay Details:
$53.00 to $56.00 per hour
