Position: AI Data Engineer 3 – Consultant

Duration: 6+ month assignment (contract)

Client Location: Vancouver, BC

*(Services primarily delivered remotely; onsite meetings may occur if mutually agreed.)*

About the Engagement

Akkodis is seeking the services of an experienced
AI Data Engineer / Senior Analytics Engineer
consultant to support advanced analytics and data engineering initiatives within a product-driven environment. This role focuses on designing and delivering scalable data solutions that enable performance marketing analytics and data-driven decision-making.

The engagement involves working closely with cross-functional teams to model, curate, and productize data, leveraging strong data engineering expertise and business collaboration. Domain knowledge within the video game industry is highly valued, particularly for individuals with hands-on experience as a player or industry professional.

Services to be Provided

  • Build subject matter expertise in business and data domains to support stakeholders with data access and insights.
  • Identify, analyze, and curate structured and multi-structured datasets to meet analytics requirements.
  • Design scalable data models and architect efficient dataflows for analytics and machine learning use cases.
  • Develop and maintain automated cloud-based data pipelines to transform raw data into clean, enriched, and reliable datasets.
  • Implement modern data engineering practices using object-oriented programming approaches.
  • Create reusable frameworks and components to enhance data infrastructure and capability.
  • Enable performance marketing strategies through robust analytics data products.

Expertise Required

- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, data science, or related roles.
- Strong proficiency in
SQL and Python
(4–5 years of Python experience preferred).
- Minimum
3 years of experience in data modeling

- Experience working in
marketing analytics environments (2+ years preferred)
.
- Hands-on experience building and optimizing enterprise-scale
data pipelines
using tools such as
Spark, Airflow
, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
- Experience handling large-scale data including logs and event-streaming datasets.
- Strong business collaboration skills with the ability to translate analytics needs into data solutions.
- Experience working as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer on large enterprise systems.
