Role summary

Akkodis is seeking a Contract Software Engineer, Accessibility Specialist for a remote position. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of development experience in TypeScript, React, Redux, and React Testing Library, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Java/J2EE technologies. Hands-on experience with XML, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL), JMS, Spring, and SQL is also necessary. Proficiency in React.js, its core principles, React Hooks, Props, Redux, Reducer framework, useQuery/useMutation APIs, Context API, and TypeScript is expected. Experience with WCAG compliance is a requirement. Preferred qualifications include experience in healthcare software or regulated industries, agile development, design systems, and relevant accessibility certifications.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years of development experience in TypeScript, React, Redux (Vanilla, Saga, Thunk, & RTK), React Testing Library (RTL)
  • Minimum of 5 years of development experience in Java/J2EE technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with XML, Web Services (SOAP, WSDL, etc.), JMS, Spring and SQL.

*Frontend Requirements:*

  • Proficiency in React.js and its core principles.
  • Knowledge of React Hooks, Props, Redux, and Reducer framework.
  • Experience with useQuery and useMutation APIs.
  • Familiarity with Context API.
  • Strong understanding of TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of Kendo UI is a plus.

*Nice to Have*

  • BS/BA in CS or related field.
  • Excellent analysis, consulting, and communication skills.
  • Experience in healthcare software or other highly regulated industries.
  • Experience with agile development methodology.
  • Familiarity with design systems and component libraries in enterprise SaaS contexts.
  • Relevant certifications such as CPACC, WAS, DHS Trusted Tester, or CPWA (IAAP).
