Director of Quality Performance
Role summary
The Director of Quality Performance will lead strategic initiatives for LTC ACO, a Medicare Shared Savings Plan focused on skilled nursing facility residents. This role is crucial for optimizing MSSP quality improvement requirements and supporting the organization's rapid growth. Responsibilities include developing strategies for quality measure capture across various EHR systems, implementing performance improvement efforts, and coordinating with internal and external providers. The Director will also monitor CMS changes, identify new quality metrics, collaborate with IT and Analytics teams, and develop training programs. Expertise in MSSP quality measurement and reporting is critical for this position.
Overview:
This position will be responsible for executing strategic initiatives to ensure LTC ACO, the first
Medicare Shared Savings Plan (MSSP) focused on Medicare beneficiaries residing in skilled
nursing facilities, fulfills and optimizes all MSSP quality improvement requirements. Beginning in
2020, LTC ACO has expanded beyond Genesis Physician Services (GPS) and include external
physician groups and non-Genesis nursing home operators. The Director of Quality and Clinical
Performance will have the exciting opportunity to participate in LTC ACO’s rapid growth and
expansion, while also working closely with the internal GPS team and external providers.
The individual will assist the VP of Quality & Clinical Performance in ensuring that participating ACO providers have a full understanding of the MSSP quality program(s) and will be responsible for implementing performance improvement efforts. Expertise in MSSP quality measurement and reporting is critical.
The role will report to the VP of Quality & Clinical Performance and also have project-management responsibility, helping to effectively develop and deploy systematic MSSP quality measure capture tools with various EHR systems, including the GPS EHR as well as other systems external to Genesis and GPS providers. This role will coordinate with the LTC ACO Operations Team to drive process improvements that are important to MSSP quality program performance.
Responsibilities:
1. In coordination with ACO Operations Team, this position will be responsible for developing
strategies to capture MSSP quality measures for providers using a variety of EHR systems and
billing processes.
2. Coordinate with VP of Quality & Clinical Performance to identify peer-to-peer clinical coaching needs for ACO participants.
3. Assist with onboarding new ACO participating providers. Develop, and maintain positive
relationships with physician groups and skilled nursing facilities that participate with LTC ACO.
4. Monitor, analyze, and adjust LTC ACO’s quality program strategy based on annual CMS changes.
5. Identify and address the need for new metrics related to clinical quality and outcomes, developing the infrastructure necessary to conduct robust measurement.
6. Collaborate with Clinical, IT, Analytics and Informatics Teams to monitor and optimize Quality reporting processes.
7. Develop and produce quality improvement project plans and dashboards. Provide quality
performance projections throughout the performance year. Collaborate with ACO leaders to
develop annual program goals and targets for quality measures.
8. Assist with mandatory quality reporting to regional and/or national regulatory and other agencies.
9. Utilize a range of strategies to support effective communication with both internal and external
ACO participants, in relation to quality.
10. Develop and deliver quality improvement training programs.
11. Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or HealthCare Administration preferred
2. At least 3 years in quality measurement and quality improvement in a managed care setting
or skilled nursing setting.
2. Experience extracting quality data from EHR systems for reporting purposes.
3. Excellent analytical, verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills.
4. Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Power Point and
Excel

Posted Salary Range: USD $140,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr. Bonus: USD $2,500.00
