Role summary

Overview
We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow AI Engineer to design, build, and enhance AI-driven capabilities within the ServiceNow platform. This role focuses on leveraging native AI/ML features and modern generative AI techniques to deliver intelligent automation, improve user experiences, and drive operational efficiency across enterprise workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI-powered solutions within the ServiceNow platform to enhance workflows and user interactions
- Develop and deploy Now Assist skills, including crafting effective prompts and context-aware AI experiences
- Build and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) solutions to enable accurate and intelligent responses
- Create and manage AI agents and agentic workflows, orchestrating multi-step processes with appropriate guardrails and governance
- Architect and maintain secure integrations that expose ServiceNow data, APIs, and workflows to external AI models
- Develop and integrate AI-driven actions (e.g., record creation, case triage, intelligent search and insights) within ServiceNow
- Embed AI capabilities across ServiceNow modules such as Workspaces, Portals, Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and custom applications
- Develop backend logic and integrations using JavaScript/TypeScript and Python
- Work with REST APIs, authentication/authorization mechanisms, and databases to ensure secure and scalable solutions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI-driven enhancements and continuous improvement
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience with the ServiceNow platform, including development and configuration
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow AI capabilities (e.g., Now Assist, Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence, or similar)
- Understanding of generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, and LLM integration
- Experience designing and implementing RAG or context-aware AI systems
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Python
- Experience with REST APIs, integrations, and system design
- Knowledge of security best practices, including authentication and access control
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CAD, or AI-related certifications)
- Experience with AI orchestration frameworks or agent-based systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and microservices architecture
- Experience integrating third-party AI models or services
