Allpoints Surveying is seeking a field-based Rodman/Instrument Man – Party Chief Opportunity, in Austin, TX to be responsible for surveying and investigating land surfaces to project precise measurements in the assigned area. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and detail-oriented with solid problem-solving capabilities. Also, the ideal candidate will be competent and comfortable in serving as a single crew member.

Responsibilities
- Collect field data utilizing GPS and a variety of surveying instruments.
- Produce field notes and sketches depicting accurate field conditions.
- Utilize a variety of technology to collaborate with other departments.
- Organize and prioritize tasks daily.
- Operate a motor vehicle in a safe manner and in compliance with all local laws and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Valid Texas State Driver’s License required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
- Exposure to surveying instruments and processing survey data for 6 months required.
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather conditions and on varied terrain required.
- Ability to work in the field for extended periods of time required.
- Ability to work independently as a single crew member.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- High degree of attention to detail required.
