
Director of Quality
Role summary
ALUDEC USA is seeking a Director of Quality to develop, implement, and evaluate programs ensuring production operations meet quality, integrity, and efficiency standards. This role involves providing leadership in quality policy development, conducting audits, managing customer and internal quality concerns, and overseeing quality systems and standards. The Director will also assist in product development, represent quality in key meetings, and train the quality department on problem-solving methods and statistical process control. The position requires experience with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001, core quality tools, and knowledge of manufacturing environments and customer specifications.

Job Summary
The Director of Quality will develop, implement, and periodically evaluate a program to ensure the organization's production operations, from raw materials to finished products, meet the quality, integrity, and efficiency standards set by the organization.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction in the development of effective quality policies and programs which ensure that the organization produces quality products.
- Audit quality functions for compliance with established systems and standards; recommends corrective action as necessary.
- Lead and manage audits from customers or other entities (IATF) to sustain high-quality performance.
- Set up and maintain the quality system
- Assist Project management in product development through PFMEA and Control Plans.
- Represent quality at quotations, F&D meetings, and engineering design review meetings.
- Define, train, and monitor the requirements and performance of all quality departments.
- Coordinate all internal non-conforming reports and take appropriate action.
- Manage customer quality concerns and returns and assist in the resolution, documentation, and customer responses to product complaints.
- Responsible for Internal Quality Standards.
- Coordinate and train the quality department on problem-solving methods.
- Responsible for statistical process control and technical laboratory testing.
- Develop and manage TQS (total quality standard).
- Facilitate and assist plants in defining and successfully completing Quality Objectives.
- Provide guidance and support on the developement phases of new projects.
- Work with cross-functional for follow-up on internal corrective actions.
- Other duties as assigned.
*Education and Experience*
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred, or the equivalent of education and 5-8 years of progressive Quality experience
- 5 to 8 years of progressive Quality experience is required.
- 4+ years of working experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of 2D prints, cusatomer specifications, and customer portals.
- Knowledge of and experience with IATF 16949 or ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Working knowledge of core quality tools (APQP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC, PPAP).

role, remote work is not available.

The compensation range for this position is $100,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually
