Amanecer is seeking a Program Manager to lead their Wraparound team in Los Angeles, CA. This role requires a California BBS licensed or license-eligible clinician with experience in DMH and Wraparound services for children and families. The Program Manager will provide operational leadership, oversee a Program Supervisor and multidisciplinary team, and ensure program integrity and sustainability. Responsibilities include staff development, crisis readiness, and fostering a trauma-informed, collaborative team culture. LOCATION:
SPA 4 and 6. Offices on 1200 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles and 3680 E Imperial Highway, Lynwood. As the Wraparound Program Manager, you will have teams in both SPAs and would support them in-person and virtually as needed.
HYBRID REMOTE
Wraparound is field-based but still offers work-from-home week-to-week!
- telehealth and in-person appointments/meetings in the field and in the office
- available to work during general office hours, including rotating closing duties
- participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled

ABOUT WRAPAROUND AT AMANECER
Wraparound is one of many programs at Amanecer, offering child-focused, family-centered mental health services based on strength and needs. There are 10 principals to Wraparound: Family Voice and Choice, Team Based, Natural Supports, Collaboration, Community Based, Culturally Competent, Individualized Strength based, Persistence, and Outcome Based. We work with our Therapists, Parent Partners, Child and Family Specialists, and Facilitators to create strategies to support families and track progress.
WHAT MAKES YOU A GREAT PROGRAM MANAGER?
- You are a California BBS licensed or license-eligible clinician (3,000 BBS-approved hours) and are able and willing to obtain LPS certification.
- You have DMH, Wraparound and/or intensive field-based experience serving children, youth, and families with complex needs.
- You are excited about leadership, building up staff, mentoring a Wrap Program Supervisor, and collaborating with other leaders and community partners.
- You understand the tenants of trauma-informed care and are committed to culturally responsive, strengths-based, community-focused work.
- You are skilled in processing and adapting to changes in real-time (ex.: DMH, budget, organizational, etc) and equipping your team so they can be confident in their work.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?
As the Program Manager, you will provide quality, mission-driven operational leadership to the Wraparound team serving children, youth, and families with complex needs. You will translate CPLC and Amanecer's core values, program requirements, and evidence-based practices into culturally responsive, community-driven services that promote the 10 principles of Wraparound. Working in close partnership with other managers, directors and compliance teams, you will ensure program integrity and sustainability, driving measurable outcomes for contractual and budget obligations.
In this role, you will directly oversee a Program Supervisor while providing direct/indirect leadership to a multidisciplinary team of clinicians and family support staff, strengthening supervisory capacity, ensuring crisis readiness, empowering staff growth, and owning the work of creating a trauma-informed, collaborative, and accountable team culture.
More importantly, you will be an integral part of an organization providing "New Beginnings" to children and families.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, counseling, or related field required.
- Licensed in the State of California as LCSW/LMFT/LPCC or Licensed Eligible with BBS registration. (If licensed eligible, must provide official proof of BBS approved hours and obtain licensure within first 90-120 days of employment.)
- Must become Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) trained and certified by Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) within first 90-120 days of employment as a manager. (
If licensed eligible, program manager must obtain licensure within the first 90-120 days of employment to be LPS trained and certified.)
- Two (2) years post license experience and able to provide clinical supervision highly preferred.
- One (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish Speaking preferred.
- CA driver’s license with the ability to travel as often as needed to maintain quality programs.
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of public mental health system (LACDMH preferred).
- Interest and commitment to working with multi-ethnic, multi-cultural, low-income populations.
- Proven interpersonal and supervisory skills.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent documentation and clinical skills.
- Proven ability to follow-up and meet deadlines.
- Excellent initiative, flexibility, and stress-management in handling the demands of leadership.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate in order to balance the many responsibilities, and address the various issues, that a manager faces during the workday.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, especially Microsoft teams).
