Role summary

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong Payments domain expertise to lead the development and enhancement of payment platforms and financial transaction systems. The ideal candidate will drive product vision, manage the product backlog, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant payment solutions across digital and retail channels. Key responsibilities include defining product strategy, managing the backlog, gathering requirements, collaborating with engineering and other teams, leading integrations with payment gateways, driving enhancements across the payment lifecycle, ensuring compliance with regulations like PCI-DSS, and supporting various payment methods. Experience with APIs, microservices, and Agile methodologies is essential.

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong Payments domain expertise to lead the development and enhancement of payment platforms and financial transaction systems. The ideal candidate will drive product vision, manage the product backlog, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant payment solutions across digital and retail channels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate product vision, roadmap, and strategy for payment solutions.
  • Own and manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on business value and customer impact.
  • Gather and document detailed business and technical requirements (epics, features, user stories).
  • Collaborate with engineering, UX, QA, compliance, risk, and finance teams to deliver high-quality payment capabilities.
  • Lead integration initiatives with third-party payment gateways and processors (e.g., Adyen, Stripe, PayPal, etc.).
  • Drive enhancements across payment lifecycle: authorization, settlement, refunds, chargebacks, reconciliation.
  • Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, fraud prevention, AML, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support payment methods including credit/debit cards, ACH, digital wallets, BNPL, and subscriptions.
  • Monitor KPIs such as authorization rates, payment success rates, fraud rates, and transaction latency.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure alignment with SAFe/Scrum methodologies.
  • Coordinate UAT, production releases, and post-launch monitoring.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • 3+ years of experience in Payments, FinTech, or Financial Services.
  • Strong understanding of payment gateways, processors, acquiring banks, and transaction flows.
  • Experience with APIs, microservices, and system integrations.
  • Familiarity with PCI compliance, fraud tools, tokenization, and encryption.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
  • Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with subscription billing, digital wallets, or POS systems.
  • Knowledge of global payments and multi-currency environments.
  • Experience with cloud platform
