Role summary

The Sr. Product Manager, Cloud Economics Tooling at AWS will own the development of tools and models to help customers understand the business value and cost-effectiveness of running workloads in the cloud. This role involves end-to-end product ownership, from roadmap definition to hands-on building and iteration. Key responsibilities include creating value-selling models and tools for both high-touch engagements and scaled motions across the AWS field. Success requires expertise in Excel modeling, Python programming (including GenAI-assisted coding), a strong understanding of cloud concepts (especially AWS), and excellent communication skills.

As a member of the Cloud Economics Tooling team as a Sr. Product Manager, you will develop models to help customers understand the business value benefits of running workloads in the cloud, including both migration and modernization. To do this, you will work as a key member of the Cloud Economics Tooling team to build value-selling models for high-touch Cloud Economics engagements and at-scale motions across the AWS field.
Your responsibilities will include developing tools to support consumption of Cloud Economics IP and mental models, including building tools to improve value-selling motions at AWS. This role requires end-to-end ownership of your tooling scope, from writing roadmaps through hands-on-keyboard building, testing, and iteration. Successful candidates will have a background in Excel modeling and Python programming (including GenAI-assisted coding), be detail oriented, and have excellent problem-solving abilities. You should be comfortable managing competing priorities. You should also have knowledge and a technical understanding of cloud concepts and vendors in general, and AWS specifically. You can clearly & effectively communicate (written as well as verbally) across organizations. You should be passionate about delivering great customer experiences.
About The Team
At AWS, the Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) team drives cloud adoption and business growth through innovative pricing strategies. The organization comprises two specialized teams: Strategic Customer Engagements, which guide transformative deals with industry leaders, and Private Pricing Programs & Experiences, which scales and optimizes pricing solutions across our diverse customer base. Within GDSP, you will develop deep expertise in cloud economics, hone your strategic thinking, and directly impact AWS's market leadership.
Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
