
Senior Product Manager, DG Operations Tech
Role summary
Amazon's Dangerous Goods (DG) organization is seeking a Senior Product Manager for its Operations Technology team. This role focuses on building technology systems to ensure the safe, compliant, and timely fulfillment of dangerous goods. The Product Manager will deeply understand Operations stakeholder needs, translate them into technical solutions, and work closely with engineering teams. Key responsibilities include defining product vision, driving roadmap strategy, managing feature delivery, and leading technical discussions. The role requires 5+ years of product or program management experience and a strong understanding of technology product ownership. Preferred qualifications include experience with data-driven insights and influencing senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities
- Deeply understand the needs of our Operations stakeholders: You listen effectively to our business stakeholders across Fulfilment Center Operations, DG Operations and Carrier partners and are able to design innovative technical solutions to resolve their pain points. Your prioritization decisions are well-reasoned and customer-based.
- Work closely with our technical team: You bring crisp, clear requirements to our engineers and are fully engaged in technical discussions. In addition, you partner well with our Amazon Fulfilment technology partners.
- Continuously drive forward progress: You are excellent at creating buy-in for your product vision and decisions. You keep stakeholders aligned and you proactively tackle blockers. When the path forward is ambiguous, you drive toward clarity while exercising concrete judgement.
- Utilize problem-solving fundamentals, excellent attention to detail, a strong sense of end-to-end ownership, and superb verbal/written communication skills in day to day operation. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
- Experience owning technology products
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience with end to end product delivery
- Experience leading engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree or equivalent
- Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
- Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
