Role summary

AMD is seeking a Sr. Program Manager for its Infinity Fabric team, which designs customized interconnects for a wide range of AMD products. This leadership role will oversee end-to-end execution of IP deliverables, including architecture, design, documentation, and firmware. The Program Manager will drive methodology and process improvements across a global, cross-functional organization. Key responsibilities include leading IP design from conception to development, managing resource and scheduling models, aligning schedules with SoC milestones, providing data-driven insights for prioritization and risk management, and facilitating execution tradeoffs. The role also involves coordinating communication, providing mentorship to junior PMs, and developing architectural documentation. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and PMP certification are preferred.

The Role
The Infinity Fabric team designs customized interconnects (System IP) for a wide range of AMD products including Server, Datacenter, Client, Graphics, Gaming, AI/ML, Embedded, and Semi‑Custom platforms.
This leadership Program Manager role leads end‑to‑end execution of Infinity Fabric IP deliverables—including architecture, design, documentation, and firmware collateral—and drives methodology, process, and execution improvements across a cross‑functional, global organization.
The Person
Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in technical program management and delivering complex silicon, software, or hardware programs.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic long‑lead IP design from architectural conception through development in partnership with architects and engineering leadership
  • Manage cross‑program resource and scheduling models across multiple product streams
  • Aligning IP component schedules with peer IP Program Managers and SoC milestones
  • Support leadership with data‑driven insights for prioritization, scoping, and risk management
  • Represent the Infinity Fabric organization in quality, time‑to‑market, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate execution tradeoffs, risk mitigation, and resolution of late discoveries or scope adjustments
  • Coordinate communication between leadership and engineering teams; facilitate recurring execution discussions
  • Provide mentorship to early‑career or less‑experienced PMs
  • Develop and maintain architectural and micro‑architectural documentation deliverables

Preferred Experience

  • Program management experience in silicon engineering or complex software products, or equivalent expertise
  • Demonstrated ability to lead global, cross‑functional engineering programs
  • Strong understanding of concept‑to‑production silicon lifecycle and defect management
  • Experience developing long‑term program plans with clear deliverables and milestones
  • Strong written, verbal, and executive‑level communication skills
  • Experience with common collaboration tools (e.g., TWiki, Confluence, JIRA)
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and program tools (MS Project, SharePoint, Teams)

Academic Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
  • Formal Project Management education, PMP certified
