Role summary

This is a long-term contract role for an SDET (Software Development Engineer in Test) with expertise in Selenium, Python Robot Framework, and JMeter. The position is remote, based in Markham, Ontario. The core responsibilities include planning and implementing automation strategies, developing and maintaining reusable test frameworks, integrating various libraries for end-to-end automation, executing test scripts, analyzing results, and generating detailed reports for stakeholders. Proficiency in Python for custom keyword development, API testing with JMeter, and database validation are essential. Experience with hybrid, data-driven, and Page Object Model frameworks is also required. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cloud platforms like Azure is preferred.

Long Term Contract

Job Description:

• Automation Strategy Planning

• Define and implement automation strategies using Robot Framework

• Identify test cases suitable for automation and prioritize based on ROI

• Framework Development

• Design and maintain scalable reusable Robot Framework test suites

• Integrate libraries eg Selenium API Database for end-to-end automation

• Execution Reporting

• Execute automated test scripts and analyze results

• Generate detailed test reports and metrics for stakeholders

• Prepare detailed automation reports and communicate results to stakeholders

Primary Skills:

• Strong expertise in Robot Framework keywords libraries custom keywords

• Proficiency in Python for custom keyword development

• Handson experience with API testing preferably JMeter and Database validation

• Experience with automation frameworks Hybrid Data Driven Page Object Model

Secondary Skills:

• Understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams

• Exposure to cloud-based testing platforms Azure etc.
