Role summary

Ampstek is seeking a contract DevOps Engineer for an onsite role in Denver, CO. Collaboration with development teams on release processes and environment stability is also expected.

Detailed Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer with strong experience in AWS, CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, and Datadog.

The ideal candidate will design, automate, and optimize cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows to support high availability, scalable applications.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain AWS-based infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, ECS/EKS, Lambda).

Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab.

Implement monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using Datadog.

Automate infrastructure provisioning with IaC tools (Terraform/CloudFormation).

Improve deployment reliability, performance, and security across environments.

Collaborate with development teams on release processes and environment stability.

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with AWS services.

Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD.

Expertise with Datadog monitoring & observability.

Solid understanding of containers (Docker/Kubernetes).

Knowledge of scripting (Python, Bash).

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code practices.
