Role summary
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with specialized expertise in Ab Initio to join our team in Toronto. This full-time, onsite role requires 6-8 years of experience in ETL projects, with a strong focus on Ab Initio as a technical expert. You will be responsible for analyzing issues, identifying root causes, and implementing effective solutions, while also managing problems that require collaboration and evaluating risks. The role involves optimizing resources to align with business objectives and ensuring solid knowledge of ETL processes from source to report. Proficiency in SQL, Stored Procedures, and creating Marts/Views in Oracle is essential.

Requirements
• 6-8 years of experience with Ab Initio in ETL projects
• Expertise as an Ab Initio Technical Expert
• Strong problem-solving skills: Able to analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement timely, effective solutions
• Experience managing problems needing collaboration
• Skilled at evaluating risks and alternative solutions before acting
• Resource optimization and alignment with business objectives and procedures
• Solid knowledge of ETL processes from source to report
Skills
• Proficient in writing SQL, Stored Procedures, and creating Marts/Views in Oracle
• In-depth understanding of ETL concepts and hands-on expertise with Ab Initio (basic to advanced)
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Experience in highly matrixed organizations
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities
