Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior End-to-End Integration QA Engineer with strong expertise in API testing and HL7 FHIR-based healthcare integrations. This role supports the CMS Burden Reduction / Interoperability program, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and reliable data exchange across complex healthcare ecosystems.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in FHIR APIs, end-to-end integration testing, and Agile SAFe delivery models, with a focus on regulatory compliance, data integrity, and system interoperability.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Integration & API Testing

• Own and execute end-to-end integration testing for CMS interoperability initiatives

• Validate HL7 FHIR-based REST APIs including payloads, schemas, headers, authentication, and error handling

• Perform deep validation across upstream and downstream systems and external partners

• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and regulatory compliance across API workflows

Test Planning, Design & Execution

• Contribute to test strategy, scope, and planning during PI Planning

• Define and review acceptance criteria (GIVEN–WHEN–THEN format)

• Design and execute test scenarios (positive, negative, and integration flows)

• Identify test data requirements and support environment readiness

• Provide test estimates and regression impact analysis

Agile & Program Participation (SAFe)

• Participate in Pre-PI Planning, PI Planning, and retrospectives

• Engage in Sprint Planning, daily stand-ups, and system demos

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, RTEs, and QE Leads

• Support defect triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking

Test Execution & Defect Management

• Execute test cases aligned with business priorities and critical paths

• Log, track, and manage defects using Jira

• Maintain daily status updates on test execution and defect progress

• Support warranty and post-production validation activities

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in End-to-End Integration QA

• Strong hands-on experience in API Testing (must-have)

• Expertise in HL7 FHIR and Healthcare Interoperability

• Proficiency with Postman for API validation

• Experience with Playwright for API/UI automation

• Strong experience with Jira for test and defect management

• Experience working in Agile SAFe environments
