
Senior Data Analyst
Role summary
AmTrust Financial Services is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data from third-party partners. This role involves defining data requirements, collaborating with internal teams (underwriting, product, compliance, IT, finance) and external partners to validate data feeds and streamline workflows. Responsibilities include producing routine dashboards and ad hoc analyses, identifying trends, and investigating data discrepancies. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in P&C Commercial Lines insurance, advanced Microsoft Excel skills, and strong communication abilities. Experience with Power BI is a plus.
Overview:
The Senior Data Analyst ensures the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data received from third-party partners. This role produces scheduled and ad hoc reports, develops data requirements, and collaborates across business and technical teams to maintain effective data workflows. The position also supports Fronting Solutions leadership in resolving system issues and upholding organizational standards.
Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate data requirements to third-party partners to ensure all necessary information is captured.
- Collaborate with underwriting, product, compliance, and other teams to validate data needs and align layouts.
- Coordinate with third parties and IT to test and validate data feeds.
- Partner with IT, Underwriting, Compliance, Reporting, and Finance to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Produce ad hoc analyses and routine dashboards to support program performance evaluations.
- Identify and interpret trends within complex datasets and investigate discrepancies between expected and actual results.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in P&C Commercial Lines insurance preferably in roles requiring underwriting coverages and product knowledge.
- Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
- Experience with Power BI is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
