
Principal Product Manager, Robotics
Role summary
ANYbotics is seeking a Principal Product Manager for Robot Platforms to define and drive the roadmap for their core ANYmal robot platform. This senior individual contributor role requires 8+ years of experience in product management for complex hardware and software products, with strong technical fluency in robotics or adjacent systems. The ideal candidate will own the product lifecycle, foster cross-functional alignment, build business cases, and mentor other product managers. Experience in industrial domains like oil and gas, or with autonomous systems and industrial safety standards, is a plus. The role involves significant collaboration with R&D, Operations, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to scale the company's robotics solutions globally.
Your Impact
Vision & Strategy: Define and drive the roadmap for the robot platform across our core robot families, with a clear view of customer needs, technical direction and long-term product strategy.
End-to-End Ownership: Lead the platform through key stages of its lifecycle, from early definition and prioritisation through launch, deployment, iteration and ongoing product evolution.
Cross-Functional Catalyst: Drive alignment and decision-making across R&D, Operations and Commercial teams, balancing technical possibilities with business priorities and field realities.
Go-to-Market Excellence: Partner with Commercial and Marketing teams to support product positioning, strategic customer conversations and successful launches.
Product Launch and Adoption: Help ensure new platform capabilities are introduced effectively and adopted successfully by customers in real operating environments.
Business Leadership: Build robust business cases to support investment decisions, prioritisation and resource allocation.
Your profile
Experience: 8+ years of product management experience leading complex technology products spanning hardware and software.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
Technical Depth: Strong technical fluency in robotics or adjacent systems, with the ability to engage credibly on topics such as sensing, compute, autonomy, system integration and field deployment.
Grit: Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, scaling deep-tech environment, with the judgement to handle ambiguity and make sound trade-offs.
Strategic Lifecycle Leadership: Proven track record of owning roadmap, priorities and product trade-offs from early definition through launch and ongoing evolution.
Customer-Centricity & Sales Enablement: Strong understanding of customer needs and market signals, with experience supporting strategic customer conversations and helping commercial teams succeed.
Business & Commercial Acumen: Able to build business cases, assess trade-offs and make product decisions that reflect both customer value and commercial reality.
Partnerships & Legal Fluency: Comfortable working with external partners in hardware, software or manufacturing environments, and able to navigate the practical commercial aspects of those relationships.
Travel: Willing to travel 20 - 30% of the time.

Industry Verticals: Experience in one or more relevant industrial domains such as oil and gas, power and utilities, chemicals, metals, mining, heavy industry or related asset-heavy environments.
Robotics Applications: Experience applying robotics, autonomous systems or similar technologies in real industrial or field-deployed settings.
Other Domain Expertise: Background in industrial inspection workflows, predictive maintenance, asset reliability or related operational problems.
