Role summary

ANYbotics is seeking an intern to join their Solutions team, focusing on Visual AI Data Engineering for mobile robotics. The intern will be responsible for curating a "Golden Dataset" of edge cases, designing a multidimensional labeling taxonomy, and developing a Python-based evaluation framework to assess model reliability. This role requires a strong understanding of machine learning, computer vision, Python, and statistical fundamentals, with proficiency in data science libraries and computer vision metrics. Experience with data versioning or labeling tools is a plus. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in robotics, AI, or data engineering and can work autonomously while collaborating effectively.

Your Contributions

  • Data Curation: Mine and curate a "Golden Dataset" featuring the most challenging edge cases and rare "long-tail" events
  • Schema Design: Architect a unified, multidimensional labeling taxonomy that defines the ground truth for different inspection modalities across diverse industrial environments
  • Evaluation Engine: Develop a Python-based evaluation framework to automatically quantify model reliability across different inspection modalities
  • Your Profile

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in robotics, artificial intelligence, data engineering or similar
  • Strong understanding of machine learning and computer vision
  • Proficient in Python and data science libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn
  • Familiar with OpenCV and computer vision metrics (mAP, IoU)
  • Strong grasp of statistical fundamentals (data distribution, sampling bias, and variance)
  • Team player with a proven ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbally and in writing

  • Hands-on experience with robotic  systems
  • Experience with data versioning tools (e.g., DVC, W&B Artifacts) or data labeling platforms (e.g., CVAT, Labelbox)
