### **Job Description**

We are currently seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a qualified deep expertise in building cross-platform applications and experiences. In particular, our stack is Node.js, React, Electron, and React Native. You should understand the jargon and fundamentals of running AI models on devices and be aware of their underlying functionality, tooling, and concepts.

You should have experience in shipping production code to end-users in each of the above technologies (or related technologies). In this role, you will be shipping **novel and new** on-device AI experiences cross-platform to a global audience.

**This position is _remote-first,_ but we will** **prioritize Southern California applicants. You must be a legal US resident, and we will not sponsor any Visa Applicants.**

### **Core** **Responsibilities**

* Design, develop, and deploy scalable features for our Open-Source, Desktop, and mobile experiences
* Collaborate with product, design, and internal teams to build user-centric applications powered entirely with off-the-shelf on-device models.
* Build bespoke and sleek end-user experiences that leverage local compute for AI workloads currently unseen in the market.
* Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews, both for internal and public-facing projects
* Automate documentation, processes, and systems to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
* Future growth or current strengths to excel and grow into a leadership position
* Ability to effectively communicate in a remote-first team with the ability to mentor other engineering staff.

### **Requirements**

* Must have at least 3-4 years of relevant experience.
* We index on the person, not your previous job title. We need excellent engineers, not title hunters or credential chasers.
* Expert-level understanding of NodeJS with additional experience in React, React Native, and Electron. Ideally, for **at least 3 years**.
* Understanding of product lifecycles, feature roadmap strategy, systems engineering, and user experience best practices
* Hands-on experience with modern developer practices and tooling (CI/CD, Git, AWS, CloudFlare, etc)
* Bonus: Experience with fine-tuning AI models (please tell us about this!)
