In this role, you’ll design and run automated and manual tests, perform in-depth analyses, and deliver certification-ready data in compliance with
DO-178C

As an Embedded Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for:

- Develop and execute automated and manual tests to verify embedded software against system requirements.
- Perform detailed software analyses, including timing, memory, structural coverage, and data/control coupling.
- Generate and maintain certification-ready lifecycle data in compliance with
DO-178C Level A
, including test cases, procedures, and results.
- Collaborate with the software development team to review outputs and ensure software quality and compliance.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear documentation and reporting on software verification activities.

Required Qualifications:

- BS in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in embedded software verification in highly regulated environments.
- Mastery of
C
and common test scripting languages.
- Experience with real-time systems, built-in-test, tasking and interrupts, RTOS, and bare-metal development.
- Knowledge of communication protocols such as
CAN, I2C, SPI
.
- Strong understanding of software configuration management and modern build, integration, and test methodologies.
- Comfortable reading electrical schematics, technical documentation, and datasheets.
- Strong team, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with STMicroelectronics ARM Cortex-M series microcontrollers.
- Deep understanding of
DO-178C
and its supplements.
- Knowledge of ARP 4754A/4761 processes and software certification workflows.
- Familiarity with tools such as Polarion ALM, Git, Subversion, and G-Suite.
