Role summary

We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to design and implement robust security solutions. This role involves hands-on experience with network protocols such as BGP, MPLS, and VXLAN, as well as managing DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Cisco Nexus hardware. The engineer will also focus on QoS traffic shaping and applying MacSEC technology. Collaboration on projects involving wireless controllers and other Arista technologies is also part of the role. This is an onsite position requiring extensive experience in data center security.

Job Description
We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves design and implementation of security solutions, as well as developing and managing DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Nexus vPC architecture
What You'll Do

  • Design and implement security solutions using protocols such as BGP, VxLAN, SD-WAN, SDN, EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, and Segment Routing
  • Develop and manage DMZ designs, IPSec configurations, and Nexus vPC architecture
  • Apply MacSEC technology to enhance data security
  • Monitor and optimize QoS traffic shaping
  • Work with Cisco Nexus hardware to ensure network reliability
  • Collaborate on projects involving Wireless LAN Controllers, Arista Velo Cloud, Arista Cloud Vision, and RADIUS (as needed)

What You'll Need:

  • BGP
  • MPLS
  • IS-IS
  • VXLAN (Not a must-have, but highly desirable)

Required:

  • Extensive experience with Cisco Nexus hardware
  • Proficiency in protocols including BGP, VxLAN, SD-WAN, SDN, EVPN, IS-IS, MPLS, LDP, and Segment Routing
  • Hands-on experience with DMZ design, IPSec, Nexus vPC architecture, and MacSEC technology
  • Knowledge of QoS traffic shaping principles

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Wireless LAN Controllers, Arista Velo Cloud, Arista Cloud Vision, and RADIUS

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work requiring prolonged periods of sitting
  • Ability to use a computer for extended periods, including repetitive typing, clicking, and viewing a screen
