Role summary

Apple's Marcom team is seeking a Full Stack Senior Software Engineer to enhance their Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. This role is crucial for developing services that enable asset syndication, global distribution, and delivery pipelines. The engineer will work with Java/J2EE technologies, design and develop complex enterprise APIs, and understand end-to-end business processes in asset management. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, SQL/NoSQL databases, cloud technologies (AWS), CI/CD tools, and testing methodologies is preferred. The position requires 8+ years of software development experience, with 5+ years focused on DAM systems.

Marcom’s Digital Asset Management system (DAM) serves as the backbone repository of all in progress and completed assets used in Apple Marketing. Digital Asset Management focuses on developing a deep knowledge of Marcom's content development processes for a diverse portfolio of digital assets at massive scale. Using this knowledge and extensive experience with enterprise digital asset management, implement and evangelize solutions which will streamline Marcom's content management workflow. A key part of the job Is understanding end-to-end business processes in the Asset Management realm and implement solutions that meet these business needs.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Full Stack Senior Software Engineer with experience in back end web application and API development. This role is critical to the development of services built on top of existing and new DAM capabilities enabling syndication, global asset distribution, and delivery pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications
Deep understanding of core DAM principles
Experience with multi-caching solutions for real-time content delivery
Experience in AWS/Cloud Technologies
An appreciation for quality with experience writing unit tests and collaborating with quality engineering to develop test plans
In depth knowledge of source version control software (Git)
Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, testing methodologies, and solid QA automation processes.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Maven, Docker, and configuration management systems such as Kubernetes or similar grid computing technologies, CI build tools such as Jenkins, and distributed logging and monitoring tools like Splunk
Experience with any modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Vue/Angular), as well as designing and architecting SQL/NoSQL databases for scalable database schema designs
Minimum Qualifications
At least 8 years of professional software development experience designing and developing complex, highly available and scalable enterprise APIs using Java/J2EE technologies
5+ years of experience designing and developing large scale enterprise APIs for Digital Asset Management systems
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience with a focus on fundamentals in data structures, algorithms and object-oriented design
Deep understanding of core web technologies including XML, HTML5, CSS, client/server-side-scripting languages such as JavaScript along with the ability to build a reliable, efficient, web services development using RESTful implementations.","internalDetails":null
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
