Role summary

Apple is seeking a full stack software engineer for its Developer Compliance team. This role focuses on designing and evolving deployment systems for thousands of Apple developers, ensuring the security and management of services powering various Apple platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in scalable design and backend development using JVM-based languages, with experience in Effects-Oriented Programming, React for rapid prototyping, and Spinnaker/Kubernetes for orchestration. Familiarity with databases, scalable architectures, and modern DevOps practices is also expected. The role involves working with bright minds in the industry to craft seamless deployment workflows.

The Developer Compliance team plays a key role in bringing this ecosystem to life by developing the workflows and tooling used to deploy, manage, and secure the rapidly evolving services that power the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Apple Books, and much more.
We're seeking an engineer who is passionate about CI/CD, opinionated about how seamless that workflow should be, and bold enough to help bring their vision to life.
The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in scalable design and backend development, while being familiar with rapid prototyping by applying AI in pragmatic ways.
Description
The Developer Compliance team is looking for a talented full stack software engineer to help design and evolve the deployment systems used by thousands of Apple's developers every day-all while working with some of the brightest people in the industry.
Preferred Qualifications
Scala experience would be useful but not required.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with modern DevOps or CD/GitOps tool platforms
Experience in designing, developing, testing, and supporting globally distributed, resilient, mission-critical systems
Minimum Qualifications
2+ years of industry experience building backend systems using JVM-based languages (Java, Scala, Kotlin, etc)
Experience with Effects-Oriented Programming
Experience with React and JS/TypeScript for rapid prototyping
Experience with Spinnaker and Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment
Experience with databases (relational and/or NoSQL) and scalable service architectures
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively and independently across multiple business and technical teams
Excellent troubleshooting skills to support infrastructure teams with deployment and maintenance as needed","internalDetails":null
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $116,800 and $174,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple Inc.'s discretionary employee stock programs. Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit award recommendations, and can purchase Apple Inc. stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple Inc.'s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
