Appliance Innovation, a leader in commercial foodservice equipment, seeks a Senior Mechanical Design and Test Engineer with 10 years of experience in fluidics and automation. This role involves hands-on design, testing, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, particularly for beverage equipment. Responsibilities include fluidic and mechanical subassembly design, guiding designs through review processes, creating assembly drawings and work instructions, and collaborating with procurement and manufacturing teams. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo, metal fabrication, and a strong understanding of industrial equipment and fabrication processes, with a proven ability to conduct root cause analysis. This is an in-person, full-time position based in Dallas.

About us
Dallas based Appliance Innovation has a long history of developing and commercializing successful foodservice equipment. You have almost certainly eaten food cooked in ovens we developed. We now manufacture and sell fresh brew beverage equipment we developed for large foodservice operators.
What we are looking for
A senior mechanical and test engineer with a broad range of design, test and troubleshooting skills. Self starters feel at home in our entrepreneurial company. Hands on experience with beverage equipment, including pump and valve systems, automation and design for manufacture are required. Compensation is industry leading – as are the products we develop and manufacture.
Our mechanical engineers work with our controls and manufacturing teams to optimize product designs, develop build instructions and assembly processes, and train assembly and service teams.
\*\*Duties:\*\*
- Fluidic system design and Mechanical subassembly design, test and implementation
- Shepherd your work through our design review and design for manufacture processes, developing assembly drawings and work instructions
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure components for your designs are available on a timely basis
- Monitor product standards and implement quality improvement programs
\*\*Requirements:\*\*
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Mechanical Engineering
- Proven experience in product design and development
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Creo and metal fabrication
- Strong knowledge of industrial equipment and fabrication processes
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Familiarity with schematics and project scheduling
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $150,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
