Role summary

A cutting-edge banking environment seeks a skilled AWS Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in AWS CDK for a 1-year contract role in Toronto. The position involves designing, deploying, and automating scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities include managing core AWS services, developing reusable modules, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on security, governance, and cost optimization best practices. Familiarity with serverless architectures and cloud security is essential.

AWS Infrastructure Engineer
with strong expertise in
AWS CDK

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deploy scalable, secure AWS infrastructure using
AWS CDK

• Build and manage
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
using CDK (TypeScript, Python, or Java)

• Automate deployments using
CI/CD pipelines
(CodePipeline, CodeBuild, Jenkins)

• Manage AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, IAM, RDS

• Develop reusable infrastructure modules and templates

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud environments

• Ensure security, governance, and cost optimization best practices

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with
AWS services & architecture

• Proven expertise in
AWS CDK
and IaC

• Experience with
CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

• Knowledge of
CloudFormation, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, X-Ray

• Familiarity with
serverless architectures (Lambda)

• Strong understanding of
cloud security (IAM, KMS, VPC)

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect / DevOps Engineer)

• Experience with
Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS/ECS), Docker

• Exposure to monitoring tools like
Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog

• Knowledge of
AWS SAM and serverless computing
