Sr. Business/Data Analyst

Duration: 1 year +

Location: Hybrid in Oakland, CA onsite 4 times per month

Hourly W2 Rate: $70.00 + all benefits

Job Responsibilities

• Performs analysis on complex data models requiring customized reports and data.

• Develops new or revises existing data analysis to predict business outcomes, selecting from various complex variables.

• Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Presents findings and recommendations to leaders.

• Manages small to mid-size projects.

• Strong working experience in data warehousing and business intelligence technologies, including good knowledge of Relational Database/SQL, SAS, and Business Objects.

• Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving experience.

• Responds to internal and external data requests, and ensures deadlines are met and stakeholders are satisfied.

• Designs effective systems that assist with regulatory filings and various analytical modeling needs based on large volumes of customer and financial data.

Requirements

Must have 5+ years of Advanced SQL with database queries and modeling, advanced Excel, and advanced Power BI knowledge

Must have 5+ years as a business analyst

Must have experience working in the
*UTILITY/ENERGY*
industry

Must have broad knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics

Must have advanced understanding of fundamental analysis and what-if modeling concepts, methods and techniques and analysis of how different factors affect business outcomes

Must have Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to justify any business changes

Must understand key drivers affecting business results
